1 Hospitalized after Vallejo Pedestrian Accident on Redwood Street
VALLEJO, CA (January 3, 2020) – A man in wheelchair sustained injuries after a hit-and-run driver struck him on Redwood Street.
The crash occurred on December 30 in the 400 block of Redwood Street. According to Vallejo police, the 1980 Plymouth Arrow pickup driver hit the man in a wheelchair as he crossed the street. The driver then stops but immediately went back and escaped without giving any contact information.
The authorities later found the vehicle and impounded it. However, the driver is still at large.
Meanwhile, a bystander took photos of the driver before he escaped from the scene.
Responders too the man in the wheelchair, an 85-year-old Vallejo resident, to the hospital but has since been released.
The police are also urging anyone who recognizes the driver to call Vallejo police at (707) 648-4329.
