Man in Wheelchair Dies in Fruitridge Road Accident [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento Fatal Pedestrian Crash Injures Woman

Sacramento, CA (April 9, 2024) – A man in a wheelchair has died following a Fruitridge Road accident early Tuesday morning.

It was around 4 a.m. when the fatal collision happened between Laurine Way and Lawrence Drive.

Troopers said a pickup truck collided with a man in a wheelchair and a woman who was pushing it along Fruitridge Road.

Responders declared the man deceased at the scene and the woman was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with significant injuries.

The pickup truck driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. They do not suspect that the driver was under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol when the accident happened.
