Pickup Truck and Train Crash on Lower Sacramento Road

 
STOCKTON, CA (August 5, 2019) – One person died when a truck and a train crashed on Lower Sacramento Road late Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just north of Morada Lane. Based on an initial report, the victim’s pickup truck collided with a freight train at the railroad crossing. After that, upon impact the victim ejected from the pickup truck.
 
A coroner confirmed the pickup driver dead at the scene. Police only identified the victim as a man.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal collision. No further information has been released to the public as the investigation continues.
