Make it a routine to always perform simple safety checks before you leave.
Start by inspecting your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals, be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.
Also, take a reading of your tire pressure and make sure you maintain the recommended maximum. While at it, take a peek under your vehicle and ensure there are no loose objects or leaks.
Most importantly, stay focused while on the road. Remove all distractions that could cause accidents such as mobile phone use, unstrapped toddlers, etc.
In Case of Vehicle Crash
Despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models, the road accident rate in California continues to increase, rather than decrease.
Thus, it reflects that auto accidents are becoming a major public health threat. They are now a leading cause of death for individuals ages 5-64.
As a matter of fact, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life.
That is why knowing what to do if you get involved in a motor vehicle accident plays a big part in one’s life.
