Man Struck and Killed by Big Rig on Texas Street [San Diego, CA]

Semi-Truck Involved in Fatal Collision near Madison Avenue

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 17, 2019) – A big rig struck and killed a man on Texas Street on Sunday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened near the intersection of Madison Avenue at approximately 9:26 PM.
 
Based on a report, the 33-year-old pedestrian entered the roadway and ran into the side of the semi-truck pulling a trailer. Due to impact, he fell onto the ground and by that time, he was run over by the truck.
 
Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where he died due to severe injuries. His name is not yet released.
 
Police did not release any other details regarding the accident at this time. However, an investigation is on-going.
