Motorcyclist in Critical Condition after Collision with SUV near Wilson Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 15, 2018) – A man was hospitalized late Monday evening following a motorcycle crash on Wible Road near Wilson Road. The identity of the victim was not disclosed to the public.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the incident took place at about 10:27 PM in the 2200 block of Wible Road. A motorcycle was heading north when a southbound SUV failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist.

The unidentified motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. Further updates on his current medical condition were not immediately available. Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
