Randy Miller Arrested after Pedestrian Collision near North Whitewater Club Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (September 11, 2018) – A man was seriously injured early Tuesday morning following a hit-and-run crash on East Vista Chino. The identity of the victim was not immediately released by officials.
According to the Palm Springs Police, the man was struck by a silver Volkswagen sedan at about 4:00 AM near North Whitewater Club Drive.
The victim suffered major injuries, and was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. There is no update on his current medical status. Meanwhile, the driver of the Volkswagen did not remain to render aid and fled the scene.
Moments later, authorities located the suspect vehicle at a nearby home in the Rio Vista neighborhood of Cathedral City, on Avenida Quintana. There, they arrested the driver, identified as 40-year-old Randy Miller, on suspicion of hit-and-run.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors.
