Multiple Injuries Sustained in Major Crash near Harbor Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 12, 2019) – A man sustained serious injuries in a chain-reaction crash on Highway 50 on Monday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Harbor Boulevard. Based on a report, the accident started after a 2003 Ford rear-ended a silver Toyota that was stopped due to traffic near the intersection. As a result, the Toyota then struck two other vehicles.
The paramedics confirmed that the Toyota driver suffered major injuries. The 50-year-old Sacramento man was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. Three other people, including drivers of two vehicles, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the fourth car involved was uninjured.
No arrests were made, and officers do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. It is still currently under investigation.
