Man Loses Life in Hit-and-Run Crash on 204th Street[Spanaway, WA]

Spanaway, WA (February 28, 2022) – On Saturday, a 68-year-old man loses life in a hit-and-run crash on 204th Street.

Pierce County Sheriff deputies say that the fatal accident happened at about 6:28 p.m. near Mountain Highway East.

Officials say that people called in to report a man getting hit and then ran over multiple times. 

Witnesses say that the victim’s spouse was driving their car when the suspect’s vehicle ran into their vehicle.

The victim got out of their vehicle and the suspect struck him in front of their car and drove away.

Pierce County Sgt. Darren Moss says “That’s when the driver turned his wheels and ran over the victim.”

Moss added, “At that point – it was one thing to run him over – but he decided to stop and reverse over him again before taking off.”

Detectives are currently investigating the incident and have not released any information on the suspect or the vehicle.
