1 Dead and 1 Hospitalized after Motorcycle Crashes into Guardrail in Mount Vernon Canyon
GOLDEN, CO (July 30, 2018) – A man was killed Monday early Monday afternoon and a woman was injured following a motorcycle crash on Interstate 70.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the solo-vehicle crash happened at about 1 PM. For unknown reasons, a motorcycle slammed into a guardrail in Mount Vernon Canyon. Events that led to the incident were not immediately available.
A male victim sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, a woman survived the crash and was transported to St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood with unspecified injuries. Their identities and cities of residence were not released.
Affected areas were temporarily shut down for more than an hour. No further details have been disclosed to the public at this time.
