Man Killed in Vehicle Crash on Centerville Road [Butte County, CA]

Butte County, CA (October 20, 2024) – A man was fatally injured following a vehicle crash on Centerville Road late Thursday afternoon.

It was about 5:40 p.m. when the CHP officers received the report of a vehicle that went down into a ravine along the road.

The authorities found a red Toyota 4Runner 300 to 400 feet down the embankment into a ravine.

Emergency crews found two males, both in their 50’s, at the crash scene.

One of the men was declared deceased at the scene and the other man was taken to Enloe Health with major injuries. 

In the meantime, the authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending notification of the family.

The CHP officers stated the vehicle was not registered to either of the two men.

The Butte County collision is under further investigation.
