Truck Involved in Hit-And-Run Crash Near Willow Pass Road
OAKLEY, CA (October 20, 2019) – A man died following a train accident on Fairhaven Court on Sunday morning in the Oakley area.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 7:22 AM near the Big Break crossing at Robert Way.
Based on a report, the victim is a pedestrian. In addition, police stated a westbound train hit the pedestrian while sitting in the tracks.
The man was pronounced deceased on the scene. The victim is only identified as a man in his 40’s and from the City of Pittsburg.
An initial investigation showed the man had placed all his items on the nearby tracks, sat down, and did not get up even when the train was approaching.
