1 Dead in San Jose Train Accident near Curtner Station
SAN JOSE, CA (February 11, 2020) – A man died in a train accident near Curtner Station on Highway 87 in South San Jose on February 10.
At around 5:45 a.m., a southbound Valley Transportation Authority light-rail train traveled on the blue line near along Highway 87.
The train then struck a male pedestrian on the tracks.
The crash suspended service between the Curtner and Tamien stations, and a bus bridge was set up.
The incident also led authorities to shut down two lanes of southbound Highway 87.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating the train accident near Curtner Station.
