1 Dead in San Benito County Auto Accident on Highway 129
SAN BENITO COUNTY, CA (June 23, 2020) – On Monday, a 29-year-old Aromas man died in a tractor-trailer crash on Highway 129.
It occurred when a male driver of a westbound 2018 Honda Civic traveled west on Highway 129, west of Highway 101. Meanwhile, a 45-year-old Vacaville man traveling in a Peterbilt tractor-trailer drove east, the CHP revealed.
For reasons still unknown, the victim’s vehicle drove across the double yellow lines and into the eastbound lane of traffic.
Afterward, the victim collided head-on with the tractor-trailer’s front.
Meanwhile, the police ruled out alcohol or drugs as a factor in the crash. Thus, the CHP continues to investigate the fatal incident. They are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Officer Kline at 408-848-2324.
