CHP Investigates Series of Crash on Highway 1 in Daly City
Daly City, CA (August 24, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a man died in a series of crashes on Highway 1 to southbound Interstate 280.
The fatal crash in Daly City happened at around 7:03 a.m. on August 23.
CHP said the of the crashes occurred on the connector from northbound Highway 1 to southbound Interstate 280: A Toyota Scion had run into a barrier and was stopped on the ramp.
Shortly after, a Nissan Sentra on the single-lane ramp ran into the Scion.
The Sentra’s driver stepped onto the roadway when a Toyota Yaris struck him and his car.
EMS took the Sentra driver to the hospital where he later died.
No other information is immediately available.
Further investigation into this deadly crash is ongoing.
