Man Struck and Killed by SUV in San Jose Pedestrian Crash
SAN JOSE, CA (March 10, 2019) – A man died following a pedestrian crash in South San Jose intersection on Wednesday, March 6.
Officers rushed to Snell Avenue and Cedargate Lane at around 7:15 p.m. about reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
An investigation discovered that a man was driving a 2001 Toyota SUV south on Snell when the SUV struck the man walking in an uncontrolled intersection.
Authorities rushed the victim to a hospital and he died a short while later. His identity is not yet released by the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office pending family notification.
The SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, according to police. Officers believe that neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the incident.
