1 Dead in Los Angeles Accident on Pacific Coast Highway and Porto Marina Way
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 15, 2021) – Sunday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Porto Marina Way.
The fatal incident occurred at about 9:30 p.m., said Officer Lezeth Lomelli of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section. Moreover, it happened on Pacific Coast Highway and Porto Marina Way.
According to Lomelli, a vehicle was driving north on Pacific Coast Highway, south of Porto Marina Way. Then, a 27-year-old pedestrian walked across the road outside of the crosswalk. The driver attempted to avoid the crash by swerving the vehicle. However, the vehicle still hit him.
The vehicle went into the southbound lanes and down an embankment onto the beach, Lomelli added.
Also, the authorities declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification. Meanwhile, the driver and the passenger of the vehicle both suffered injuries.
Furthermore, the CHP issued a SigAlert that closed Pacific Coast Highway between Porto Marina Way and Temescal Canyon Road.
