SAN DIEGO, CA (November 12, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a man in a wheelchair died in a horrific pedestrian crash on 7600 Ronson Road.

The incident occurred at 5:35 p.m. in the 7600 block of Ronson Road. Officers confirmed that a Toyota Camry struck and killed a man in a wheelchair.

Police reported that a man was crossing Ronson Road from south to north when he was struck by a car driven by a 58-year-old man. 

Paramedics transported the victim to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities stated that alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
