LAKESIDE, CA (July 5, 2020) – Friday night, a 50-year-old man crossing a road died in a pedestrian crash on Mapleview Street in Lakeside.
 
The incident occurred about 9:35 p.m. on Mapleview Street near Ashwood Street. California Highway Patrol Officer Jeff Christy clarified that the pedestrian crash did not occur in the intersection.
 
Moreover, reports revealed that the Lakeside man crossed Mapleview Street outside a crosswalk. Unfortunately, a 71-year-old man driving an eastbound Hyundai SUV approached.
