1 Dead in San Diego Accident on Interstate 5 and Interstate 8

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 21, 2021) – Sunday night, a man died in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 and Interstate 8.
 
The incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. on Interstate 5 and Interstate 8.
 
According to reports, a rollover crash occurred and a 26-year-old Bonita man got out of his pickup truck. Then, a passing vehicle hit him on Interstate 5.
 
The CHP said that the man lost control of his vehicle on the connector from eastbound Interstate 8 to southbound I-5. Then, it overturned and rolled over, landing on its wheels in the road.
 
As the driver went out of the truck, he jumped over a center divider wall. Then, he strolled onto northbound Interstate 5, into the path of an Acura sedan.
 
After the crash, the Acura driver remained at the scene and helped with the CHP officers’ investigation.
 
At this time, the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
