Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Nave Drive

NOVATO, CA (October 21, 2018) – A man was killed Sunday evening following a pedestrian crash on Highway 101. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place shortly before 7:00 PM at the Nave Drive overcrossing. A pedestrian was walking in the northbound traffic lane when he was struck by a vehicle.

The unidentified victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Meanwhile, the driver remained on site and cooperated with investigators. No charges have been filed against anyone at this time as the investigation continues.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Additional information will be released to the public once it becomes available.
