Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on East Arrow Highway [Covina, CA]

Vehicle Hits Pedestrian in Fatal Collision near Grand Avenue

COVINA, CA (August 30, 2018) – A man was killed Thursday morning in a pedestrian crash on East Arrow Highway. His name and place of residence was not immediately disclosed, pending notification of family members.

The collision took place after 9:50 AM, outside a designated crosswalk in the 800 block of East Arrow Highway, near Grand Avenue.

The victim was reportedly crossing the highway when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. The speed of the vehicle was not yet known as of report time. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle stayed and the scene and cooperated with officers from the Azusa and Covina Police Departments. The authorities had not yet ruled out alcohol, drug use or cellular device being a factor in the fatal crash.
