Male Pedestrian Dead in San Leandro Accident on 14500 block of 14th Street

 
SAN LEANDRO, CA (November 8, 2020) – On Friday morning, a man died in a crash in the 14500 block of 14th Street in San Leandro, Califonia.
 
According to authorities, a vehicle drove north in the 14500 block of East 14th Street at around 4:40 a.m. However, the motorist struck a man that suddenly walked into the street mid-block, outside a crosswalk.
 
Responders pronounced the unidentified man died at the scene of the incident.
 
The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
 
Meanwhile, police do not believe that drugs, alcohol, and speed to be factors in the crash.
 
Authorities closed east 14th Street between 143rd Avenue and 146th Avenue for about an hour to give way to the investigation.
