CHP Seek Adelanto Hit-and-Run Driver in Deadly Pedestrian Collision on Highway 395
ADELANTO, CA (October 23, 2019) — A man died Monday morning in a pedestrian collision on Highway 395 near Trenton Road in Adelanto.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident occurred at about 6:00 a.m. A northbound sedan struck the pedestrian who was standing in the northbound traffic lane. The vehicle failed to stop after the collision.
The man ended up lying in the northbound traffic lane. And then, a northbound 3-axle Freightliner going at about 55 mph struck him a second time.
The man died at the scene. The authorities withheld his identity pending notification of his family.
Meantime, the CHP is asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of the sedan. They urge anyone with information on the case to call Victorville CHP at 760-241-1186.
