Man Killed in Pedestrian Collision on East Palmdale Boulevard [Palmdale, CA]

Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near 12th Street East

PALMDALE, CA (September 12, 2018) – A man was killed late Wednesday morning following a pedestrian collision on East Palmdale Boulevard. The identity of the victim has not yet been released by authorities, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, the incident took place shortly before 11:30 AM near 12th Street East. A silver 2014 Audi was traveling west in the No. 2 lane when it struck the victim, who was standing near his parked vehicle.

The victim, described as a man in his 60s, sustained major head and body trauma. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Meanwhile, the driver of the Audi remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors.
