Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle near Dennery Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 30, 2018) – A man was killed Monday morning following a pedestrian collision on Del Sol Boulevard.
According to San Diego police, the crash happened at about 7:10 AM near Dennery Road. A pedestrian was crossing in the 4400 block of Del Sol Boulevard when he was struck by an eastbound 2012 Ford Fusion.
The victim, described as a man in his 40s, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding officers. His name and city of residence were not immediately released. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford, a man in his 20s, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the fatal collision. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
