Alvin Singh Involved in Pedestrian Collision on 5 Freeway near County Road 68
WILLOWS, CA (September 26, 2018) – On Wednesday evening, a man was struck and killed in a pedestrian collision on 5 Freeway. The deceased victim’s identity was not immediately released to the public, pending notification of next of kin.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 7:50 PM near County Road 68, also known as Norman Road.
36-year-old Alvin Singh of North Highlands was driving a 2001 Toyota Sequoia and pulling a 10-foot trailer on the southbound 5 Freeway he struck a pedestrian. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the pedestrian with serious injuries. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on site.
It is unclear if drugs and alcohol were contributing factors in the fatal incident. No additional information has been released to the public, as the investigation continues.
