Man Dead after Sacramento Pedestrian Collision on Watt Avenue near Whitney Avenue

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (August 19, 2019) — A man died following a pedestrian accident on Watt Avenue in Sacramento County on Sunday, August 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the man was hit by a vehicle around 9:20 p.m. on the northbound lanes of Watt Avenue near Whitney Avenue.
 
First responders tried to resuscitate the man, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
 
The driver stayed on the scene for questioning. Officials do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role crash, CHP said.
