Man Struck and Killed by Car in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 17, 2019) – On Saturday night, a man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Highway 330.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred around 6:40 PM at the 3,000-foot elevation, near the lower passing lane.
As per reports, an unidentified vehicle struck the victim and then fled the scene. It is unclear what the man was doing on the highway.
Fire department officials and paramedics arrived at the site, and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
