Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 405 Freeway in Torrance
TORRANCE, CA (May 6, 2019) – A man died after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian accident near Torrance on Sunday, May 5.
According to the CHP accident log, the collision happened at around 4:25 a.m. on southbound 405 Freeway near Artesia Boulevard. Authorities found the man lying in the slow lane.
The crash forced the closure of all southbound lanes and traffic was rerouted off at Redondo Beach Boulevard.
All southbound lanes of the freeway reopened at about 8 a.m., the CHP stated.
The incident is still under investigation.
