1 Dead in Lynnwood Multi-Vehicle Accident
LYNNWOOD, WA (January 15, 2019) – A man died in a collision with a speeding driver on Lynnwood Street on Sunday, January 13.
The authorities came to respond to a three-vehicle collision near the 19700 block of 76th Avenue about 3:45 p.m.
According to Lynnwood Police Commander Sean Doty, the white sedan driver was traveling at a high-speed north on 76th Avenue when he struck an unoccupied parked car and then crashed into another car with one person inside.
The speeding male driver, only identified as a male in his 20s, escaped the area on foot. He was later detained and is currently facing a charge for vehicular homicide.
Meanwhile, firefighters extricated the other driver from his vehicle. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center where he later succumbed from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
