Male Victim Pronounced Dead, 1 Hospitalized after in Head-On Accident on Bigelow Gulch Road in Spokane WA
Spokane, WA (May 16, 2020) – Monday morning, a man was killed, and another victim was injured in a multi-car collision on Argonne Road.
Officers first received reports around 6:40 a.m. Emergency personnel arrived to the area shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls. Authorities say a red Ford truck was traveling south on Argonne Road when it crossed the center, and struck an oncoming southbound Honda Sedan.
Furthermore, the Ford rolled over and struck a silver GMC pickup that was also traveling north.
The surrounding area on Argonne Road was closed off for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
The Aftermath
The Honda driver was instantly killed upon impact. His identity will be revealed by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office at a later time.
Meanwhile, the Ford driver was brought to the hospital with serious but non-fatal injuries. Deputies confirmed he was the driver that caused the multi-car collision. They later obtained a search warrant for a blood sample to confirm if he was impaired at the time of the accident. Charges are expected as the investigation finalizes.
