Motorcyclist Fatally Injured in Collision with Vehicle near Ardilla Avenue

LA PUENTE, CA (September 8, 2018) – A man was killed Saturday afternoon following a motorcycle crash on Amar Road. The identity of the victim was not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Industry Station, the incident took place at about 2:00 PM. The victim was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when it collided with a compact SUV near the intersection of Amar Road and Ardilla Avenue.

The motorcyclist, described as a man in his 20s, was rushed to the LA County/USC Medical Center for treatment. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 2:49 PM by medical staff. Meanwhile, the woman driving the SUV was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries. There is no update on her current medical condition.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the fatal crash and to identify possible contributing factors. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
