Two-Vehicle Crash on 880 Freeway in Fremont Kills 1 and Injures 2
FREMONT, CA (August 24, 2019) – A man was killed following a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Fremont, CHP officials said.
The crash happened around 6:35 p.m. on northbound 880 Freeway between Mowry Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Tesla sedan rear-ended a Ford Ranger pickup truck for unknown reasons. The impact ejected a male passenger in the Ranger.
Arriving units rushed the man to Stanford Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His identity has not yet been released.
Meanwhile, both drivers were injured and transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley for proper treatment.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash.
