Fatal Shooting on 5 Freeway in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (May 28, 2019) – A man was killed after being shot while driving Tuesday evening in Stockton, authorities said.
The incident was reported at 9:30 p.m. on the northbound side of 5 Freeway near the Charter Way.
According to an initial report, the driver of a Honda car had been shot several times before crashing his car into the right shoulder wall. The victim, who was the sole occupant of his vehicle, died from his injuries.
Authorities only described the victim as a man in his early to mid-20s.
No suspects were in custody as of late Wednesday morning. The case is being handled by the CHP’s Investigation Services Unit.
