Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Foothill Boulevard in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (September 15, 2019) – A man in his 50s was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash early Sunday morning in East Oakland.
The crash happened shortly after 3:00 a.m. at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Cole Street.
Police responded and found the man lying in the crosswalk and was unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
Police believe the man was struck by a vehicle headed eastbound on Foothill Boulevard.
The incident is under investigation. Police and the organization Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the hit-and-run driver.
