Man Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 33 [Coalinga, CA]

Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 33 near Lost Hills Road

 
COALINGA, CA (August 13, 2019) – A man lost his life in a pedestrian crash on Highway 33, Tuesday evening. Authorities withheld his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly before 9:00 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a pedestrian was walking in the middle of the roadway. There, a vehicle hit him near Lost Hills Road.
 
Unfortunately, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
 
Authorities ruled out alcohol or drugs as factors in the fatal crash. Investigators encourage witnesses to cooperate as soon as possible. The CHP will release additional information following the conclusion of the investigation.
