Pedestrian Hit and Killed by Pickup Truck on 10 Freeway in Redlands
REDLANDS, CA (December 18, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash early Wednesday morning in Redlands, police said.
The crash happened around 4:40 a.m. on westbound 10 Freeway at Alabama Street on-ramp.
According to the CHP, the man wearing a dark clothing was walking in a freeway lane when a passing pickup truck struck him. As a result, he suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The San Bernardino County Coroner did not release his name pending family notification.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 59-year-old Redlands man, was driving between 25 and 30 mph when the crash occurred.
There was no arrest at time, but the fatal incident is still under investigation. Anyone with information about it was asked to call the CHP San Bernardino Area office at 909-383-4247.
