Deadly Motorcycle Accident on El Duna Court in Palm Desert
PALM DESERT, CA (June 23, 2019) – An unidentified man was killed Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on El Duna Court, in Palm Desert.
The accident happened just before 3:00 p.m., at the end of El Duna Court. Authorities also described the area as a dead-end street in a business complex just north of the 10 Freeway.
According to witnesses, a westbound motorcyclist was riding recklessly on Las Montanas Road as he was approaching El Viento Road. After that, the rider eventually lost control before slamming into a nearby commercial building.
Arriving units found the male down on the roadway upon arrival. He was later pronounced dead on scene as a result of the impact. In addition, the victim was described as a 24-year-old Cathedra City man. However, his name has not been released pending notification of his family members.
The surrounding are was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
Investigators also asked anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them at the CHP office in Indio.
