South Gate Rider Dies after Crash with Minivan on 710 Freeway in Bell
BELL, CA (June 16, 2019) – A 27-year-old South Gate died in a motorcycle crash on 710 Freeway Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police reported the crash happened around 2:15 p.m. on southbound 710 Freeway at Florence Avenue on-ramp.
The man was riding his motorcycle on the freeway when for unknown reasons, he collided with a Toyota Sienna. As a result, the impact ejected the rider from his bike. Soon after, officials pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
Police did not identity the victim at this time.
A man and a woman from Bell inside the Toyota minivan were not seriously injured.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash and to identify possible contributing factors. Police have not released any other information surrounding this accident.
