Driver Dead after Head-On Collision on Fifth Street near Central Avenue
HIGHLAND, CA (October 31, 2019) – A man lost his life in a head-on collision on Fifth Street, Thursday evening.
According to the Highland Police Department, the incident happened at about 10:23 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle collided with a semi-truck on the 27000 block of Fifth Street.
After the driver was extracted from the smaller vehicle, medical personnel attempted life-saving measures on scene. Then, they rushed him to Loma Linda Medical Center, where he died soon after. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the semi-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
