1 Dead in Hollywood Pedestrian Accident on 101 Freeway and Vermont Avenue

HOLLYWOOD, CA (September 5, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a man died in a brutal pedestrian crash on 101 Freeway and Vermont Avenue.

The incident happened at 2:28 a.m. on the northbound 101 Freeway and Vermont Avenue.

When the California Highway Patrol officers responded, they located the pedestrian down in one of the freeway lanes. According to CHP Officer San Lough, a vehicle struck the pedestrian as he tried to cross the freeway.

Meanwhile, the victim was declared dead at the scene by the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Furthermore, the CHP issued a SigAlert that shut down the northbound freeway for several hours as they worked on the scene.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
