1 Dead in Antioch Auto Accident on Highway 4
ANTIOCH, CA (October 14, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, a man died in brutal 2-vehicle crash on Highway 4 in Antioch.
Reports said that the incident occurred at 5:13 a.m. eastbound on Highway 4 in Antioch. Moreover, the crash involved a Gray Honda CR-V and a Blue Ford F-150.
An investigation revealed that a Honda was stalled in the fourth lane for unknown reasons when it was rear-ended by a Ford. The impact caused the Honda to catch fire, trapping the driver inside. Unfortunately, the Honda driver died at the scene due to his injuries.
The Ford driver was taken to the hospital and is expected to recover, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Authorities confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not involved in the crash.
