Bicyclist Dies after Crash with Pickup Truck on Oso Parkway in Las Flores
LAS FLORES, CA (July 22, 2019) – A man in his 30s was killed in a bicycle crash Monday afternoon in Las Flores, authorities said.
The crash happened around 1:47 p.m. at the intersection of Oso Parkway and Antonio Parkway. According to the CHP, the victim had been riding his bicycle when he collided with a white pickup truck. Emergency crews found him lying on the street. He was not wearing a helmet.
The man was later pronounced dead by coroner’s officials. His identity will be released once his family members are notified.
The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Officers shut down the westbound traffic on Oso Parkway between Felipe Road and Antonio Parkway while they conducted their investigation.
Preliminary evidence does not suggest drugs, alcohol or distracted driving as factors in the crash.
