Man Killed After Hit by Train on V Street (Merced, CA)

Train Hits and Kills Pedestrian in Merced

MERCED, CA (February 11, 2019) – A man was killed after being hit by a train in Merced at around 11 a.m. Saturday. The victim, who was believed to be in his 40s, was struck while he was walking southward on the train tracks on V Street.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fatal hit. It hasn’t been determined whether the incident was suicidal or accidental since the crossing guard arms were working at the time of the collision.
