1 Dead in Everett Car Crash
EVERETT, WA (February 11, 2020) – A man in his 50s died in a hit-and-run crash near Evergreen Way on February 9.
Authorities arrested a 29-year-old man following the deadly crash. They initially responded at about 6:15 a.m, arriving near Evergreen Way and Madison St.
When the officers arrived, they located a pickup truck and an SUV that had crashed in the northbound lanes.
A man in his 50s inside of a pickup truck succumbed to death at the scene.
A witness tip helped officers find the suspect driver of the SUV at Elm Street. They booked him into Snohomish County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide.
The detectives also believe that alcohol and speed played a role in the hit-and-run crash, which remains under investigation.
Officials highly encourage drivers to use ride share apps when under the influence in order to avoid tragedies such as this one.
