Man Struck and Killed by Utility Truck in Fresno Accident
FRESNO, CA (January 20, 2021) – Tuesday night, a man died in a FAX utility truck and pedestrian crash on Shaw Avenue and West Brawley Avenue.
According to reports, the incident happened at about 8:45 p.m. on West Shaw Avenue and West Brawley Avenue.
Meanwhile, Fresno police Lt. Jordan Beckford revealed that the man was probably walking in the westbound lanes of Shaw Avenue.
He was said to be pushing a wheelchair near Marty and Brawley when the FAX utility truck hit him.
As a result, responders took the man that was struck to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
He later died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, authorities spotted a blanket and other debris near the sidewalk where the crash occurred.
Furthermore, the involved driver stopped and has been cooperative with the officers.
Also, the incident led to the closure of Marty Avenue towards Brawley during the investigation.
