1 Dead in Oildale Auto Accident on W China Grade Loop and McCay Street

 
OILDALE, CA (July 13, 2022) – Tuesday, a man died in a two-vehicle crash on W China Grade Loop and McCay Street.
 
The incident involving two vehicles happened on W China Grade Loop and McCray Street.
 
According to the preliminary investigation, a Chevy Silverado truck headed west on W China Grade Loop. Then, a northbound Volvo XC90 on McCray Street crashed with the Silverado at the intersection. Afterward, the Chevy struck a signal light pole.
 
Officers confirmed that the Chevy’s male driver failed to wear a seat belt at the time of the crash. Then, the impact ejected the driver from the truck. Meanwhile, officers declared that man dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the 52-year-old female Volvo driver sustained moderate to major injuries. Then, responders took her to Kern Medical, said CHP.
 
Moreover, CHP does not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
Furthermore, the incident shut down the intersection of W. China Grade Loop at McCray Street for about three hours.
