NEWMAN, CA (March 9, 2021) – Sunday night, a man died in a crash on Stuhr Road near Jorgensen Road in Newman.
 
According to reports, the authorities came to the crash scene just after 11:30 p.m.
 
Reports revealed that a 20-year-old Stockton man drove a 2011 Ford Fusion west on Stuhr Road. Then, he veered into the dirt shoulder and crashed with the embankment.
 
Afterward, the Ford rolled over, ejecting the driver who didn’t wear a seatbelt.
 
Then, a 2015 Hyundai Elantra heading east hit the driver.
 
As a result, the Stockton driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the 50-year-old Newman driver suffered no injuries.
 
The authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
At this time, the CHP handles the crash investigation.
