1 Dead in Daly City Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Highway 1 near 280 Freeway

 
DALY CITY, CA (July 12, 2022) – Monday morning, a man died in a multi-vehicle crash on State Highway 1 near 280 Freeway.
 
The incident occurred just after 5:00 a.m. in the northbound lanes of State Highway 1 near 280 Freeway. Officers also noticed the heavy fog in the area.
 
According to reports, a silver Nissan sedan struck a wall along the freeway. Then, the driver got out of the car. However, a gray SUV hit the Nissan driver and his car. Also, at least one other vehicle crashed with the first two cars.
 
As a result, the Nissan driver, a man in his 60s, succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, the crash shut down northbound traffic on the highway, and lanes reopened shortly after 7 a.m.
